Catalysts for Commercial Vehicles
The widely differing worldwide legislation regarding emission limits in the area of commercial vehicles requires a multitude of solutions – now and for the future. Commercial vehicles mainly have diesel engines. Their exhausts contain a surplus of oxygen and have relatively low temperatures. This impedes the simultaneous reduction of all relevant exhaust components. Our HeraPurTM coatings are the solution for many applications. Besides the original equipment for commercial vehicles, our service includes tailor-made concepts for the after-market.
3 Way Catalysts
In the area of commercial vehicles HeraPurTM 3-way coatings are principally used for natural gas and liquefied gas applications, such as fork-lift trucks, buses, etc. Depending on the fuels which are used, various coating concepts can be applied.

Oxidation Catalysts
Our HeraPurTM oxidation coatings have been developed for the widest range of applications. Pt based coatings supply sufficient NO2 for the regeneration of soot filters or as standard DOC. We use Pd based coatings for thermally supported DPF regeneration with diesel after-injection.

Soot Filters
HeraPurTM coatings containing precious metals enable reliable regeneration at lower exhaust gas temperatures. At higher temperatures the patented HeraPurTM soot ignition coating on the basis of metal oxide presents an economical alternative to precious metal coatings.

Particle Catalysts
Particle catalysts enable soot deposit rates between 30 % and 70 %. As the ideal solution for use in open systems we have developed our HeraPurTM oxidation coatings for this application purpose. Suitable for retro-fitting and OE.
